BECOME A PROFESSIONAL TEACHING ARTIST

 

 

Audition for Opera for the Young’s 2024-2025 tour of The Magic Flute! Please see the Audition Brochure or reach out to info@ofty.org for more information. Audition live in Chicago, IL on March 22 and 23 or in Madison, WI on March 24th. Live auditions are encouraged, digital auditions are also accepted (due 3/23).

HOW TO SCHEDULE A LIVE AUDITION

  1. Submit your audition form (resume and headshot required, references and recordings encouraged)
  2. Prepare your audition repertoire (an aria in original language that demonstrates both sustained singing and coloratura AND an aria or art song in English (original language or translation)
  3. Prepare the dialogue, kid questions, and musical excerpt(s) from The Magic Flute for your role (visit ofty.org/auditions for excerpts and accompaniments)
  4. We will contact you with an audition slot

 

HOW TO SUBMIT A DIGITAL AUDITION

  1. Prepare and record your audition repertoire (an aria in original language that demonstrates both sustained singing and coloratura AND an aria or art song in English (original language or translation)
  2. Prepare and record the dialogue, kid questions, and musical excerpt(s) from The Magic Flute for your role (visit ofty.org/auditions for excerpts and accompaniments)
  3. Submit your audition form (recordings, resume, references and headshot) online at ofty.org/auditions BY SATURDAY, MARCH 23rd.
