OPERA FOR THE YOUNG AT HEART

Opera for the Young at Heart brings our signature blend of live music and storytelling to retirement communities and senior centers, forging meaningful connections across generations. This program extends Opera for the Young’s mission beyond schools, offering older adults the joy of professional opera performances in an intimate and engaging setting.

This season, Opera for the Young at Heart celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with selections from our Old West adaptation of Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love, alongside timeless works from American musical theatre and art song.

Performances feature five professional musicians and are typically scheduled for afternoons or evenings. Many are open to residents’ families and the public, depending on the venue.
